Asami is Amon? Think again!

So, every one believes Asami is Amon? Good. Good for the show, good for the writers who’ve obviously wanted this, and good to keep the surprise intact. Except, it’s bad for viewers hoping to be proved right! Trust me!

Okay, so maybe I’m over analyzing this, but hey! We’re only in Ep 7 of 12. Do you really think the very same writers, who kept viewers waiting for 40 full episodes and only showed Fire Lord Ozai’s face in Book 3 in the earlier AVATAR: The Last Airbender, are going to give away Amon so soon!? I mean, Asami premiered in Ep 4! She’s obviously been planted there to divert everyone’s attention.

Ep 7 ‘The Aftermath’ even has Korra finding a powder-puff, in the ladies’ powder room at the Sato mansion, with similar white powder as seen on Amon’s face. She stops and frowns for a second, but it wasn't revealed why. Obvious link to Asami? Good you think so. That is exactly what the writers want. Very soon, when the real Amon is revealed, this powder-puff clue would be dismissed as a false alarm.

What more? Amon and Asami are both non-benders, or so they each claim to be. They both have green eyes, nice observation; though maybe Amon’s eye colour is still not clear. They’re both highly skilled in personal defence, and this is evident when they fight. They’re both nearly the same height, and have approximately the same facial structure. And besides, Asami and Amon have never been seen (or should I say, shown) on screen together. So now you’re convinced Asami is Amon? Excellent! That is exactly what the writers want!

On the contrary, if Asami is indeed Amon, how could she depend so surely on a "scooter accident" to get her to intersect Mako!? What if Mako had jumped in the last minute? Or maybe taken another street? The reliance on the surety of the accident is silly. Which probably means it was indeed an accident; and that Asami isn't Amon.

So, what’s next? Is Amon going to be revealed as some long lost evil twin (brother?) of Asami whose both parents were killed by benders, with Asami being adopted by Sato, while the twin tricked Sato into helping him while being anonymous, and is using Asami as well to get closer to the Avatar? Maybe. Viewers are free to make up whatever theories they like!

Or maybe Amon is indeed Asami, and the writers had me plant this post to confuse everyone?! ;)

Klei Entertainment strikes again, this time from the shadows!

Silent as a Ninja, Klei Entertainment on Monday, sneaked up on unsuspecting gamers, threw out a lucrative nugget in the form of a very mysterious website, and quietly vanished into the shadows!

The Mark of the Ninja Poster
That's right! Makers of the uber cool 'grindhouse gorefest' hack-n-slash platformer titles Shank and Shank2 have been secretly working all along on a stylish 2D stealth platformer (yes, you read it right), aptly titled 'Mark of the Ninja'. Teasing viewers with an old-school text adventure interactive story, the developers have hinted at what you can expect to do as a ninja in the upcoming release. Concealed at the end of that text adventure is a neat 30-second teaser clip for those that can make the right choices! Be sure to check out a few screenshots below, from the teaser clip.

And while on the subject of the 'Mark of the Ninja', the only mark Klei has left so far is that the game will be available for the XBox LIVE Arcade, come Summer 2012. But it's probably just another Ninja style stunt  ̶  when you're least suspecting it, Klei might just bounce out of the shadows with PC and PlayStation Network releases! I'm just keeping my PC updated to the minimum requirements of Shank2, just in case!

Shank 2 Minimum Requirements
(probably applicable to 'Mark of the Ninja'!):
Processor Intel Pentium 4 running at 3.00 GHz or Greater / Athlon 64 running at 3.0 GHz or greater
Video Card ATI Radeon X1800 GTO 256MB / nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB
Memory 1 GB RAM (XP) / 1.5 GB RAM(Vista and Windows 7)
OS Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
